Inspired by (ie. 'talked into this') by my dear friend Christina (see her post
HERE), I packed the kids in the car this morning hoping just to do something different and fun and explore where we live. Being that we live so close to Boyertown (it's our school district as well) and as long as we've lived here I'd driven through on occasion, but never taken the time to stop and look around, we headed up 73 to see what we might discover.
First we decided to stop at one of our favorite places, not in Boyertown but right down the road-
It was a
little too early for ice cream, but Luke wanted to feed the ducks (who were too busy sunbathing to cooperate)
So off we went...
(we did detour again on our way though since I think this church is so cute, we pass it on our way to one of my favorite photo locations)
While I know we are the 'Boyertown Bears' I'm a little unsure about this thing where there are painted bears all over the town, next to banks, houses, etc. If anyone can fill me in, I'd much appreciate it! lol
Now this is the part where I actually get excited that we ventured out to uncharted territory- of course I would manage to find this quaint little coffee shop I never knew existed! It's adorable and so tasty! The kids, of course, knowing a coffee shop by scent (yes, even if it's not starbucks) were just thrilled for a snack and freshly made chocolate milk.
If you live nearby and haven't been, check it out!
And thanks to the nice woman who made our drinks at the Hard Bean, I found out about this little farmers market right around the corner (and down the road a mile or two...) with fresh local fruits and vegetables (many home grown) as well as many other goodies inside the store (including their own
hard cider I need to go back and try!)
Yum! My first time trying yellow melons!
And for you, Christina!
