2011 Photo Contest!

This year's contest is going to be a little different than last-
Parents- its your turn to get in front of the camera. :)

How many times do we avoid getting into photos with our kids because our hair is a mess, or we don't like the outfit we have on, or we think we don't look good, or say 'next year when I lose those last 5 pounds...' (Sound familiar, anyone?) ;)

Then one day you sit down to put your photos into albums, and realize you aren't in a single one...
When your kids are looking through them one day and ask why they don't see you, what will you say?
Remember, your kids don't care if a hair is out of place, or you didn't put on makeup today, or you think you are always making a silly face in your pictures- what means something to them is having the memories- remembering when dad showed them how to hit a baseball, or how much fun it was when mom taught them how to bake brownies. It's the stories the pictures will tell one day in the future.

So- your assignment :)
Send me a photo of you with your children! No professional photos please! Take it yourself, have your husband or wife take it, ask a neighbor to snap a family photo while you are playing in the yard.

The photo can be no older than 2 weeks (we are creating recent memories here, people!) If you take it just for the purpose of this contest, even better!

The winner will take home a family photo session, by me :)
I have something fun in mind!

**For an extra entry**  leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite thing is to do with your family when you are all together.

Our favorite thing to do as a family is being outside. We love playing on our deck and yard, including our four-legged friend too! No matter where we are, our yard, a park, we love being outdoors. :)

I love watching my son and husband bond. Taking pictures of those moments make my life complete.

I love watching my son experience things for the first time and seeing the expression on his face!

We love to take rides in the car to various places. Out to the country preferably. We love to feel like we are exploring, finding places to stop for treats, and taking walks when we reach a destination (especially in quaint towns and villages). And we always have nice talks along the way.

We love getting outside and hitting the trail for a hike. Having just moved to the area, we have a lot of exploring to do!

Our family loves to sit around and just be silly together. Whether its making up contests for the older two to compete in or asking the baby questions and pretending she can talk - I love the giggles that follow!
