For My Children, On Mother's Day

To the one who made me a mother...
To my first baby-
Thank you helping me to learn what unconditional love is.
Thank you for teaching me patience.
I have learned so much from being your mom, on every journey we take together.
Sometimes it's bittersweet, wondering what could have been, trying to see you differently- but in the
   end I can't picture you as anyone else than who you are.  I am lucky I was chosen to be your mom.
Thank you for loving me.

And to the one who made me a mom for the second time-
The one who has shown me over and over how different two children can be!
The one responsible for showing me just how much love my heart could hold.
I love your spirit.
I love how nothing gets you down.
I am enjoying seeing things in a whole new way through your eyes.
You so badly want to be one of the big kids, like your big brother and your daddy- but you still melt
  my heart when you just want your momma- running over with open arms and a smile on your face.
I will never tire of hearing "momma, momma!"  when you have something you want to tell me.
I love your sweet innocence that shows me you aren't quite ready to stop being my baby just yet...
I love you, with all my heart.

I am truly blessed. You both are the best gift a mother could ask for.
